Applying and admission

Submitting an application does not guarantee a place. Your place is confirmed once we have verified your GH₵ 300 admission form fee and contacted you to accept you onto your chosen programme. Applicants must be 16 or older; those under 18 need a parent or guardian's consent.

Fees

• The admission form fee is GH₵ 300 and is payable before your application is processed.
• A 50% deposit of your package fee is required before training begins.
• The balance is paid in instalments, with a minimum of GH₵ 500 due at the beginning of every month until it is cleared.
• Any course taken outside your package attracts an additional fee of GH₵ 1,000 per course.
• Uniforms, practical materials and hostel accommodation are charged separately and are not included in tuition.

Refunds

All payments made to the school are strictly non-refundable. This includes the admission form fee, deposits and instalments, whether or not you complete your programme. Please be certain before you pay.

Deferral

If you cannot start or continue for a serious reason, speak to us as early as possible. At our discretion we may transfer your paid fees to a later cohort once. Deferral is not a refund and is not automatic.

Your responsibilities as a student

• Attend classes punctually and maintain the attendance required to complete your programme.
• Bring the practical materials on your course list, and wear the academy uniform.
• Follow all hygiene and safety instructions, particularly for microblading, lash and chemical services.
• Treat instructors, fellow students and models with respect. We may remove a student for abusive or unsafe conduct, without refund.

Certification

An NVTI certificate is awarded on completion of your coursework and practical assessments, and once your fees are fully paid. Certificates are not released while a balance remains outstanding.

Photography

We may photograph or film classes, student work and graduations for our website and social media. Tell us in writing if you do not wish to appear, and we will exclude you.

Changes to programmes

We may adjust timetables, instructors or class locations where necessary. If we cancel a programme outright, fees paid for that programme will be transferred to another programme or cohort of your choice.

Student declaration

Every applicant signs the following declaration as part of the online application form. It is reproduced here so you can read it before you apply.

1. Accuracy of information. The information given in the application form is true, complete and correct to the best of the applicant's knowledge. Giving false or misleading information may result in the application being rejected or enrolment being withdrawn.
2. School rules. The applicant has read and understood the rules of The BeautySmith Academy and agrees to abide by them — including standards of conduct and discipline, attendance requirements, hygiene and safety procedures in the practical studio, and the conditions governing transfers between classes, campuses or intakes.
3. Fees and refunds. The registration fee is non-refundable in all circumstances. Tuition fees, once paid, are non-refundable and non-transferable, in part or in full, whether or not the programme is completed. A minimum deposit of 50% of tuition secures a place, and the balance is paid according to the schedule agreed at enrolment. The Academy may withhold certificates, results or course materials where fees remain outstanding.
4. Safety and liability. Beauty training involves tools, heat, chemicals and electrical equipment. The Academy takes all reasonable steps to maintain a safe learning environment. The Academy is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal property brought onto its premises; students secure their own belongings, kit and equipment. Students agree to follow all safety instructions and to disclose any medical condition, allergy or skin sensitivity affecting participation in practical training.
5. Use of personal information. The applicant consents to the Academy collecting and processing their personal information — name, date of birth, contact details, identification documents and payment records — for admissions, student administration, NVTI certification and programme communication. Information is kept securely, is not sold or shared with third parties except where required for certification or by law, and may be accessed or corrected on request to the school office.
